'It's not the Gardener that grows the Garden: but the Garden that grows the Gardener' — Alan Chadwick

Mason Vollmer grew up in Palo Alto, CA, where he was introduced to Biodynamic gardening by author, gardener, and researcher John Jeavons, and Master Gardener Alan Chadwick, through the Saratoga Community Garden and the Covelo California Garden. 

He studied Soil Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Biodynamic Agriculture, Rural Development, Anthroposophy, and Waldorf Education at Emerson College in Sussex, England, and Horticultural Therapy at Delaware Valley University.
